Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Rochester, NY)

Westbrook Lakeside Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Rochester, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 829 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with licensing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
