Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Rochester, NY)

We are growing our team at Lumen Stone Freight Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
