Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bluepeak Keystone Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Rochester region. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to seasonal crews, and clear open items. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
