Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Greenridge Lakeside Health provides primary and specialty care in Detroit, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with patient education. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
