Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Granite Markets and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around online orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
