Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bluepeak Wren Farms Group grows and distributes produce from farms near Omaha. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 757 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with field records. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
