Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Fernwood Cedar Health runs clinics and patient services around Tucson. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
