Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Nova North Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Tucson area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around attendance records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
