Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Union Inspection Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 64 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client sites, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with client sites. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Sacramento. • We reply to every applicant.
