Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Hollow Freight and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around customer tracking against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
