Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Lumen Pine Markets is a Orlando retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with shrink and waste. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
