Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Amberfield Clear Energy is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage response, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around billing disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
