Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Fernwood Bridge Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the San Diego area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 899 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
