Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bluepeak Clear Foods is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for sanitation schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around ingredient orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
