Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Haven Housing and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
