Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Timber Early Learning is an early-learning provider in Memphis. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
