Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Cedar Field Markets serves neighbourhoods around Minneapolis with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to online orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with online orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
