Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Rivermark Wren Telecom Group provides broadband and phone service around Toledo, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. We invest in training. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Toledo. • We reply to every applicant.
