Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Nova Stone Environmental Services Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for collection routes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 119 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
