Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Ivory Health provides primary and specialty care in Rochester. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 893 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around electronic records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
