Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Ashton Inspection Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
