Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Greenridge Cobalt Medical Partners designs and makes medical devices in Birmingham. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
