Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Clearpath Cross Inspection Services is an inspection company in Fort Worth with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
