Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Cedar Umber Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Sacramento serving households and small businesses, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to card disputes, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with card disputes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
