Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Northwind Timber Learning Group is an education provider in Cleveland serving students and families. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
