Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Foxglove Ember Water Authority is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for capital projects, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around treatment plant data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to capital projects, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
