Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Stonegate Keystone Freight is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around loads and lanes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
