Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Granite Financial and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
