Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Westbrook Meridian Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Fort Worth. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 498 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with account openings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
