Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Clearpath Field Markets Group is a Memphis retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Track costs around store inventory against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
