Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Foxglove Loom Property Management looks after rental homes across the San Diego area, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Maintenance and leasing staff share information every day. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to maintenance requests, and clear open items. • Track costs around lease renewals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with maintenance requests. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
