Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Westbrook Wren Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Phoenix, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around weigh tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
