Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Cobalt Construction and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around change orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
