Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Silverline Sparrow Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 370 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around collection routes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
