Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Lumen Yarrow Inspection Services is an inspection company in Fresno with field technicians and lab staff, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
