Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Highbridge Meadow Housing Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for rent assistance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Housing is our mission and residents are our neighbours. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to rent assistance, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with rent assistance. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Denver. • We reply to every applicant.
