Senior Accountant - fixed assets (remote)

Bright Clear Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Boise, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to collection routes, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
