Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Raleigh, NC)

Stonegate Glen Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Raleigh, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 503 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around service complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to weigh tickets, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Raleigh. • We reply to every applicant.
