Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Portland, OR)

Highbridge Mill Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to accessibility audits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around service alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
