Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Pittsburgh, PA)

Lumen Rook Manufacturing Partners is a Pittsburgh manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
