Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Philadelphia, PA)

Redstone Rook Housing manages affordable housing communities across Philadelphia. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around rent assistance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to waiting lists, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with waiting lists. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Philadelphia. • We reply to every applicant.
