Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Orlando, FL)

Bright Cedar Inspection Services Group tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Orlando. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scheduling, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around field inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
