Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Orlando, FL)

Nova Quill Legal Group is a Orlando practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. People here care about clients, not just cases. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with trust accounts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
