Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Omaha, NE)

Greenridge Bridge Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Omaha with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on fixed assets. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
