Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Oklahoma City, OK)

Fernwood Sable Staffing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Oklahoma City. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
