Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Oklahoma City, OK)

Fernwood Cross Inspection Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for field inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We reply to every applicant.
