Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Oklahoma City, OK)

Bluepeak River Housing manages affordable housing communities across Oklahoma City, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around waiting lists against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to repair requests, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with repair requests. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
