Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

Silverline Corner Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Minneapolis, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around premium billing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to claims, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
