Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Minneapolis, MN)

Fernwood Lakeside Legal Group is a law firm in Minneapolis serving businesses and individuals, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client files, and clear open items. • Track costs around document review against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with client files. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
