Senior Accountant - fixed assets (Milwaukee, WI)

Foxglove River Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Milwaukee, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around pricing against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
